Meet Amy
Amy Marelli is a proud graduate of Briarcliff High School, giving her a deep personal connection to the district and community. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Curriculum Development and Technology. Amy spent 12 years as a classroom teacher, working in two states across public, private, and charter school settings. This breadth of experience has given her a well-rounded understanding of how different educational systems operate and what it takes to meet the needs of diverse learners.
She is now an experienced instructional coach specializing in mathematics and literacy, working directly with teachers and school leaders to strengthen instruction, analyze student data, and support all learners. Her work extends beyond the classroom, partnering with principals on leadership development, supporting special education practices, and helping schools build strong, student-centered cultures.
Through her experience across multiple school settings and in her current coaching role, Amy has developed a clear understanding of both the opportunities and challenges facing today’s schools, from instructional quality and curriculum alignment to resource allocation and student support systems. She brings a thoughtful, solutions-oriented perspective grounded in what works best for students and teachers.
Amy is also a parent of three young children, with her oldest beginning at Todd Elementary School this fall. As a family just entering the district, she brings a vested, long-term perspective and a strong commitment to the future of Briarcliff schools. Her experience as both an educator and a parent positions her to thoughtfully represent the elementary school community, ensuring that decisions reflect the needs of young learners and the families who support them.
Amy brings both a professional and personal perspective, understanding what happens inside classrooms while also valuing the traditions and expectations that make Briarcliff schools strong. She is committed to preserving the district’s excellence while ensuring decisions remain student-centered, transparent, and fiscally responsible.
